Youth between the ages of 12 and 17 taking part in sport, recreation or performance activities are not required to have proof of vaccination.
A reminder that masks and 2 metres of physical distancing are also required in all indoor buildings.
PRA will be implementing REP protocols for PRA events only. Players must wear masks and social distance unless on ice. Participants must be screened for symptoms. Bench Staff and Minor Officials must submit REP records to designated home team individual for recording.

- Spectators, athletes, and walking track patrons limited to 1/3 building capacity and must socially distance (2m) and mask except youth when participating in their sport
The City has adopted the Government of Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program which will require everyone age 12 and over attending a City facility to produce proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before entering a facility. Everyone age 18 and over will also need to show a valid photo identification.
As of September 20, 2021, people aged 12 and over are required to show one of the following to enter a City recreational facility:
Valid personal identification (birth certificate, health card, driver’s licence, etc.) is required for adults 18+ only.
Youth under 18 who are participating in a sport, recreation or performance activity will not be required to provide proof of vaccination at City recreational or cultural facilities.
Youth under 18 who are observing a sport, recreation or performance activity will be required to provide proof of vaccination at City recreational or cultural facilities.
Spectators, Participants, Volunteers over 12 require proof of vaccination or negative test. Youth (12-17) participating in sport, fitness, recreation and performance activities are only required to screen for symptoms, maintain 2 metres distancing (except while engaged in physical activity) and wear a mask (except while engaged in physical activity). If youth are spectating, proof of vaccine, private negative COVID-19 test result or medical exemption requirements apply.

If a youth under 18 years of age is accessing a facility with a REP in place for the sole purpose of taking part in a youth activity, they would not need to provide proof of vaccination status, physician note, or negative test. Youth participating in sport, fitness, recreation and performance activities must screen for symptoms, maintain 2-metres distancing and wear a mask (except while engaged in physical activity).
Individuals 12 years and older must show one of the acceptable options for proof of vaccination if they wished to spectate or use any other amenity in the facility. If youth are spectating, proof of vaccination, medical exemption or paid negative COVID-19 test is required.

Note: Visitors under the age of 18 who are taking part in organized sport, recreation and performance bookings at City's facilities implementing the province's Restriction Exemption Program (e.g., Leduc Recreation Centre, Maclab Centre for the Performing Arts) are not required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination/negative test.
